He emphasized that thanks to the active participation of travel enterprises and the effective operation of direct charter flights, the number of visitors from the CIS region has grown significantly, enriching the city’s international tourism landscape.
In 2026, Da Nang’s tourism sector will continue to coordinate with partners to welcome more charter flights, strengthen promotional activities in the CIS market, and enhance infrastructure, human resources, and specialized tourism products tailored to the preferences of visitors from this region.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Tham also provided an overview of the CIS market in 2025, noting that:
“Although there are still no direct flights from Russia to Da Nang, the number of visitors from this market has doubled, increasing from 1.3% in 2024 to 2.62% in 2025. In the first nine months of the year, Da Nang welcomed over 91,000 visitors from Kazakhstan. This result reflects the great efforts of travel agencies in operating charter flights, with a frequency of 13 flights per week from Kazakhstan and 2 flights per week from Uzbekistan.”
