DANANG INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FESTIVAL 2025 GENERATES OVER 6,000 BUSINESS MATCHINGS IN JUST TWO DAYS

[Da Nang, October 16, 2025] This morning, the Danang International Tourism Festival 2025 officially opened at the Ariyana Convention Centre Danang, marking the event's second and expanded edition with an international scope, facilitating nearly 6,000 business-to-business (B2B) connections.

Mr. Vu The Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association, delivered the opening remarks, stating: "The year 2025 marks a breakthrough in Vietnam's tourism development, aiming to welcome 25 million international visitors under Government Resolution 226. The Danang International Tourism Festival 2025 is a key highlight demonstrating this commitment." He highly praised the Danang Tourism Association for organizing the large-scale event, successfully connecting over 120 international buyers and numerous partners, creating a vibrant platform for trade and cooperation. He further committed the Vietnam Tourism Association's continuous support to ensure the Festival becomes an annual, effective event, helping Danang become a leading regional hub for events, conferences, and tourism.

The event is chaired by the Danang Tourism Association, in coordination with HorecFex Vietnam, aiming to build a strong business connection platform, open strategic cooperation opportunities, and contribute to sustainable growth in visitor arrivals and revenue.

Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Danang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized the event's significance: "In the first nine months of 2025, Danang tourism achieved impressive results: over 14.4 million overnight stays, with international visitors increasing by over 31%... This is a positive sign showing the city's strong recovery." He noted that the Festival, themed 'Growing and Breaking Through,' is not merely a promotional event but a key gathering for Danang to affirm its position as a leading regional center for tourism, conferences, and events.

Record-Breaking B2B Matchmaking Highlights Festival's Growing Influence

In its second year, the DANANG INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FESTIVAL 2025 returns with expanded scale and deeper content. The B2B Buyers Meet Sellers space is the program's key highlight and is one of the largest B2B events in the country.

Taking place throughout October 16–17, 2025, this activity has facilitated nearly 6,000 commercial appointments between Vietnamese and international tourism businesses—a record number that affirms Danang's growing appeal and influence on the regional tourism map.

The DANANG INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FESTIVAL 2025 is a practical activity in response to Resolution 226/NQ-CP, supporting the national goal for the tourism sector to reach at least 25 million international visitors to Vietnam in 2025. Organizing this event reinforces Danang's position and its commitment to align with the national development strategy.

Collaboration and Sustainable Development

The Festival attracts over 300 sellers, 110 international buyers from key markets (Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, China, Japan, Russia, India, CIS countries, and Western Europe), and over 180 domestic tour operators, alongside nearly 2,000 attendees representing hotels, restaurants, service providers, and tour guides. This promises practical cooperation opportunities and is expected to be a major boost for trade and destination promotion for Danang.

The event includes specialized seminars, the Congress of the Danang City Travel Association (2025 - 2029 term), and in-depth discussions on strategies for attracting visitors and developing new tourism products.

During a specialized discussion, the Danang Hotel Association presented a paper on "Solutions for Enhancing Service Quality and Human Resources in Danang Tourism," emphasizing that human capital is the core factor for maintaining and increasing the destination's competitiveness. Solutions proposed include enhancing management capacity through specialized training in collaboration with IBH Academy, ST4SD, and the Swiss EHL School; standardizing tourism professional competence according to ASEAN standards; and promoting the application of technology in training and service delivery, including Danang Tourism E-learning, Big Data analysis, and multilingual AI-chatbots for personalized visitor experiences.

Notably, on October 17, 2025, the Festival will feature two key seminars:

  • Seminar: "Russia and CIS Market Attraction Strategy 2026" – focusing on trends, potential, and policies for expanding the Russia–CIS market post-recovery, aiming to help Danang and Central Vietnam reassert their position in these markets.

  • Seminar: "Danang Tourism Development Orientation in the New Period" – discussing solutions to diversify unique tourism products, enhance visitor experience, and strengthen collaboration among businesses, destinations, and the local community to boost destination competitiveness amid integration and digital transformation.

With its comprehensive range of trade, seminar, and networking activities, the DANANG INTERNATIONAL TOURISM FESTIVAL 2025 is not just a trade promotion event but a strategic step in elevating Vietnam's tourism position on the international stage.
