Chef Joachim Textor was born and raised in Germany Black Forest. In Freiburg im Breisgau, he began his apprenticeship and hotel management school. He embarked on the greatest adventure of his life after starting his early chapters as a chef at world-class hotels in Switzerland, such as the Hilton Basel, the Relais & Chateaux Boutique Park Hotel in Vitznau and the Hyatt Hotel in Montreux. Countless 5-star luxury kitchens such as in London, MS Europa a world cruise liner,Berlin, Manila, Beijing, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Seoul, Dubai,Jakarta, Cairo, Shanghai, Saigon in 91 countries, 776 cities and around the world.
Vietnam and the city Vung Tau is his 15th country to work and live in. During his Journey, Chef Joachim boasted a worldwide profession in top gastronomy as an Executive Chef, leaving his impressions at the most elite hotel chains including Shangri-La, Peninsula, Mandarin, InterContinental, Anantara, Hilton and Hyatt. Through rich exposure, he has honed his skills to different cuisines types and expressed indigenous flavors in innovative cuisine development over the years, which he still keeps changing due to his culinary travel joy rides and dedication to his Chef profession. He also opened successfully 4 award winning hotels, dozens of restaurants, and cooked for well-known politicians, Hollywood celebrities, and sovereignties from one side of the planet to the other. Most remarkably, Mr. Joachim Textor took care of the G12 Asian Summit Conference in Busan / South Korea and facilitated four recognized world leaders including George W. Bush, Vladimir Putin, Angela Merkel and Li Peng.
Chef Joachim has earned two highly praised awards for the Shangri-La Hotel East Shanghai / Pudong side during his time as Executive Chef, including Time Out Magazine's "Best Weekly Buffet Restaurant" in 2017 and Wow Magazine's "Best Ultimate Sunday Brunch" the same year.He is also a member of the Chain des Rotisseurs gourmet association which has its roots in France.
